Student Athlete Book Scholarship
Dear Scholarship Applicant:
Thank you for your interest in the doGOODthings, Inc. Student Athlete Book Scholarship Program. This program is administered by the doGOODthings, Inc. Foundation, a non-profit organization. Every complete application received by the required deadline will be given a fair and careful evaluation. Awards are given without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, disability or national origin. All information will be held in strict confidence by doGOODthings, Inc. All applications become the property of doGOODthings, Inc. and cannot be returned.
Carefully review your completed application before it is submitted. doGOODthings, Inc. reserves the right to process only those applications found to be complete by the application deadlines. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUBMITTING ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION IN ONE COMPLETE PACKAGE.
Guidelines & Application
The doGOODthings, Inc Student Athlete Book Scholarship Program was created to assist student athletes with the high costs of textbooks and study materials. Awards for 2025 are open to high school Seniors who are planning to attend a 2-year or 4-year college or university, or a technical/vocational institution.
Application Process
Applicants must submit:
Completed application
Official High School Transcript showing a minimum 3.0 GPA
Letter of recommendation
500 word essay–double spaced (Topic - How will you use your education and career to make the world a better place?)
Applications must be received by March 31, 2025. Selection Process & Notification
Scholarship recipients are selected according to merit on a competitive basis. The number of scholarships awarded will be based on doGOODthings, Inc.’s selection procedures and available funds. Not all applicants will receive awards. Only scholarship finalists will be contacted by the selection committee.
Award & Payment
The doGOODthings, Inc. book scholarship is a one-time award amount of $500. Awards are paid in the form of a check. Checks are made payable to the recipient. Prior to check being disbursed, documented proof of enrollment at an institution of higher learning must be provided. If the terms of the scholarship award are not adhered to, the recipient may be responsible for reimbursing the funds to the foundation.
Revision Policy
The general conditions and procedures under which scholarships are made are subject to annual review by the doGOODthings, Inc. Foundation.
